PROJECTS (CONT)

Project | District Science Fair
(0:54-2:44)
This story features the young minds of the Manchester community and their ability to think outside the box. Our main goal during this project was to gather shots of projects that really stood out to us, because those were the shots that would grab the viewer's attention. As an editor, I was able to capture the anticipation and suspense of the competition thorugh music and close-ups of the trophies
Project | Blood Drive
(3:05-5:10)
This story puts a spotlight on the annual blood drive held at MHS. It goes into depth about the reasoning behind the program, as well as the reasoning as to why you should take part. As a reporter, I was able to to capture the intensity of this blood drive and present the information in a way that makes people want to participate.
Project | Maker's Space
(6:50-9:00)
This story features a great opportunity for the students of MHS to express their creativity and complete school projects. Our goal for this story was to capture all aspects and uses of Maker's Space to make more people aware of the existence of this room. As the reporter, I had to tell the story in a way to inform people of all the uses of this room, but at the same time, I had to keep people interested and encourage them to see for themselves the endless possibilities within this room.

Project |  Teen Jobs
(10:21-12:54)
This story puts a spotlight on the students of MHS who have the huge responsibility of balancing school work with a job. We wanted to capture the students at their workplace and the environment they work in (in this case Highland Park market). As the reporter, I had to tell the story in a way that shows how hard it can be to have this much responsibility, but at the same time, show the process and benefits of getting a job.
